Micah Craft: Serious About Having a Good Time
Whether it’s while I’m in the studio, showing in galleries, or helping capture the imagination of other’s through commissions, I have learned that without enjoying the creative process, the most human parts of art are lost. I intend to bring a sense of sophistication and professionalism in my work that is wrapped in a blanket of joy. Often finding myself being too serious for too long has led me to develop work that expresses how important self-love and happiness is in the realm of fine arts since it is few and far between and often seen as juvenile. My experience with many other professional artists, as well as in magazine editing has taught me that fine art is changing, and as society relies heavily on artists in times of unity as well as tragedy- I intend on using my creativity to express my work in a way that is digested with all in mind.
